This DVD programme will introduce you to the basic Bedfordshire techniques of plaits, picots, leaves and crossings. These are combined in a simple bookmark pattern. Each technique is explained in detail and shown with excellent close-up views enabling the lacemaker to follow every movement with ease.

This 2 hour programme builds upon the basic Bedfordshire skills of plaits, picots, leaves and crossings covered in Beds. 1. plus nine pin edging, cloth stitch trail, Cluny crossing, raised tally, adding and throwing out pairs at a corner and detailed instructions on starting and finishing.

This 90 minute programme shows you how to use a gimp to outline an area of cloth stitch by making a small oval motif suitable for using in a brooch. The centre of the design is made up of a cloth stitch flower with six gimp edged petals.

It is intended to help a complete newcomer to lace to make a confident start using a series of projects from Christine's "The Torchon Lace Book" which is an essential companion to this programme. Techniques include ground, fans, spiders, Rose ground and Honeycomb.

This 1 ½ hour programme will carry on from the first Torchon DVD. Again several projects have been carefully chosen from the "The Torchon Lace Book" to demonstrate the use of a gimp, to give detailed instruction on how to work a footside edge and to give advice on starting and finishing an edging. There is also a section on "trouble-shooting".
There is a small fault towards the end of Torchon Lace 2. All processes are still visible but not as clear as we would like. Unfortunately it is not possible to remedy this fault now, so we are reducing the price of this DVD to compensate. We do this on the understanding that this problem will be accepted by the purchaser.
